Spare year for Balkan League, to resume in 2025

Basketball friends.

Balkan League season 2024-25 will not start for now since we cannot register teams from Israel. In the last few months and up to January 2025 most of the airlines that we used in the last 10 years that we have teams from Israel in the Balkan League cannot secure regular flights to Israel.

Since 2012 we have Israeli teams in the Balkan League which they became integral part of the league. We tried last season to play and to run the league without the Israeli teams, we had good season last season 2023 -2024 with great Final Four but we are missing quality and interesting games, and we cannot find a proper solution that can bring back 2 Israeli teams to the league. Thus, we will have to wait for better days and then we will continue with our mission to provide in the region quality and professional basketball league.

We informed our decision to our main sponsor DelaSport and we can only say big thank you to have them as our sponsor in the last 4 season hopefully when we will resume the games in the near future they will join us back.

The Balkan League start in 2008 and in the last 16 season we provide the best professional league in our region, we cannot continue and to have one more season the 17 one when we cannot provide to the basketball fans to our sponsors and to ourselves a quality and strong competition with quality basketball games,

Our way in the last 16 years is very clear: Professional – Quality – Cooperation – Friendship and if even one of those things cannot be, then we cannot run the league.

 We do hope the soon the war in Israel will be finish and we will be back very soon to the good days with good news, good basketball and strong league as it was the last 16 seasons.
