BC Kavala is about to make its debut in EUROHOLD Balkan League. This will not only be the debut of the team in the regional competition but in a European tournament as well. Here is what the head coach of the team Chris Chougaz had to say before the game against Rilski Sportist:
"We feel very good because in the fifth season of Kavala in the local league this will be the first time the team will play in a European competition that is EUROHOLD Balkan League. We are vey happy to play in this tournament for first time. We have a very young team with many new players that have a lot of talent but need a lot of experience. So it′s good for us in one more league to find a better rhythm and get more experience for the young players.
I just saw the profiles of the players of Rilski Sportist. I know that Rilski is trying every season to do something good in Bulgarian league and I believe it′s one of the best team in our group. I believe it will be a good game."
