Domestic leagues: Beroe fought hard but lost to the champions

BC Beroe suffered its first home defeat of the season. The Stara Zagora team hosted the champions Lukoil Academic and fought hard before going down 80-87. After that round Beroe is third in the standings with 9 wins and 5 defeats.

The visitors did well in the second quarter to take an 8-point lead. In the third quarter they kept the advantage but finally Beroe managed to go up. Lukoil though immediately responded to regain the advantage and after a triple in the last minute decided the outcome.

Aaron Jones had 20 points and 16 rebounds for Beroe as Tihomir Zhelev added 12 points.
