Domestic leagues: Beroe is runner-up in Bulgaria

BC Beroe registered a third defeat to PBC Lukoil Academic, 76-83, in the finals of the National Basketball League in Bulgaria. The Reds won the best-of-five playoff series by 3-1 and are now again the champions for a third time in a row.

The team from Stara Zagora started the game well, but Lukoil Academic managed to go ahead by 48-32 at half time. And although, Beroe tried everything after the break, they could not come back.

However, for Beroe it was a very successful season, winning two trophies - the Bulgarian Cup and the SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League title.
