Hapoel Gilboa Galil recorded second straight win in Stage 2 of Delasport Balkan International Basketball League, downing KK TFT 94-68 at home in Gan Ner, and took another step towards its goal of reaching the Final Four. The Israeli team improved to 2-0 in Group F, and the chances of missing the competition’s F4 are only theoretical, due to the impressive point-difference advantage against BC Beroe – 35 points (88-53) and KK TFT – 26. The Macedonian team has also lost its first game in Group F against BC Beroe – 83-87, and has dropped to 0-2.
Galil started off strong to finish the first quarter with a 17-point advantage, 31-14, and led by 50-32 at halftime. The hosts kept the rhythm and the double-digit lead throughout the next 20 minutes, as well. Yotam Hanochi led the winners with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Lachlan Anderson paced KK TFT with 19 points.
KK TFT will travel to Stara Zagora, Bulgaria for a crucial game against BC Beroe on 29 March and the victory is a must if the Macedonian side plans on keeping its Final 4 hopes alive. Hapoel Gilboa Galil will be visiting both Balkan teams – BC TFT on 5 April and BC Beroe two days later.
