Mega HL with a 4th straight domestic victory

BIBL Final Four participant Mega Hypo Leasing confirmed their great form by winning another victory in the Basketball League of Serbia. The 83-82 win versus Radnicki 034 Group (another BIBL team, eliminated in the quarters) was 4th in a row for Mega HL in Serbia. Both teams had already missed the opportunity to get to the Top 3 of the 1st phase of the Serbian league (one more round remaining of that) and thus qualify for the Superleague (the Top 8 teams).
 
The Mega Hypo Leasing - Radnicki 034 Group was very close throughout, with the momentum swinging one way or the other all the time. The 7-point advantage (18-25) of visiting Radnicki 034 Group at the end of the first quarter was the biggest any team would get on the night. It didin`t last for long, as Mega HL cut it at the start of the second quarter and were trailing by just 2 or 4 until the mid-point of it, before peeping in front (37-35) themselves. The hosts led by just one point at half-time - 39-38.
 
The second half was even tighter, as Radnicki took the lead and were in front most of the time, but never by more than 4 points, until the 36th minute. That was when the visiting team made it dangerous for Mega HL - a Petar Beader triple gave them another 7-point advantage at 68-75. But the young home team showed the same character that propelled them to the BIBL Final Four and turned it around once again to win 83-82.
 
Stefan Stojacic had 22 points for the hosts, while Uros Nikolic added 19 points and 8 boards. Namesakes Dusan Cvetkovic and Dusan Katnic contributed 11 and 13 points respectively, with the latter also dishing out 7 assists. Radnicki`s Rajko Kljajevic tied the game high with 22 points and also grabbed 8 rebounds. Beader and Uros Duvnjak scored 15 and 14 points respectively.
 
With this victory Mega Hypo Leasing surpassed their opponent for 5th place in the Serbian league table, holding a 14-11 record now. Radnicki 034 Group are now 6th at 13-12.
