Lovcen made a big step for the first place in Group A

Lovcen Cetinje climbed on the top in Group A of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, after they defeated in Valjevo local side Metalac 82-63.This was Lovcen`s fifth win, and they are 5-1 now, while Metalac are on 4-3. The game started better for the guest, as in the first quarter they took an early advantage 18-9 after a good improvement of Nikola Ivanovic and Bojan Dubljevic . First period finished to 20-25 for Lovcen. In the second quarter Lovcen took by 16:13 to increased their lead to 8 points again 41-33.
In the third period Metalac tried to change the game and 1:30 minutes before the end of the quarter host trailed only by 4, but after 2 successful three-pointers by Nikola Ivanovic and Petar Stojanovic set the score of 62-54 for Lovcen after 30 minutes of play. In the last 10 minutes the Montegrin team increased their lead, playing on high level. A three-pointer of Kandic settle the final score to 82-63. Head coach Miodrag Cadija rotated all his squad .
Bojan Dubljevic was Lovcen best player in the today’s game – he finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds from the bench. Nikola Ivanovic pulled 16, while Petar Stojanovic ended with 12 for the guests. Vladimir Panic was the most efficient player tonight – he scored 23 points and added 6 boards and 6 assists for index 29, while Dragomir Marojevic nailed 20 points and 8 rebounds, but their efforts were not enough for KK Metalac.
