Galil Gilboa won against Torus in Skopje

BC Galil Gilboa achieved their win number 8 in the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. Lior Lubin′s side didn′t have any trouble away from home against KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski, and absolutely smashed them for the final score of 70:86 .
 
The first quarter of the game was the only one that was close. Galil got off to a good start, and led the score 1:7 early in the opening period. However Torus made a run of 6-0, and tied the score at 7:7. The score was tied once more at 9:9, as the two sides changed the leader a few more times, before Galil Gilboa came out on top after 10 minutes of play - 14:16.
 
Galil Gilboa started the second quarter with 8 unanswered points, and they had their first double digit lead tonight - 14:24 with 8.12 to go in the half. Torus managed to decrease the difference to 17:24, but Galil went on a 9-2 run, getting a 19:33 lead halfway through the quarter. The visiting side continued to dominate for the rest of the second period, and after 20 minutes of play held an absolutely deserved 17-point lead - 30:47.
 
KK Torus - SCBT managed to decreased the difference to 13 points - 33:47 early in the third period, but Galil Gilboa scored 11 points against 4 for Torus and lead 37:58 with 6.28 remaining in the third period. Until the end of the third period Galil Gilboa managed to increase their lead to 25 points, as they were ahead 52:77 after 30 minutes of play.
 
Galil Gilboa slowed down a bit in the fourth quarter, but still remained ahead by a comfortable margin for the entire period. In the end, Galil lost the last period 18:9, but still won the game by 16 points - 70:86. Yan Martin and Courtney Fells had 14 points each in the win for Galil Gilboa. Amit Beir-Katz finished with 10 and Christopher Thomas added 9.   Jovan Markovski led KK Torus - SCBT with 17 points, while veteran Pero Blazevski added 11 points. Justin Reynolds had 10 points, 6 rebounds and was fouled 10 times by the opposition.
After this win Galil Gilboa remained on top in Group A of the BIBL with 8 wins and 1 loss, while KK Torus - SCBT occupied the fifth spot with a balance of 2 wins and 8 losses.
