Kozuv defeated Djuro Djakovic and finished 7th in EUROHOLD Balkan League

KK Kozuv finished 7th in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Gevgelija hosted KK Djuro Djakovic and won 75-62 to finish in first place of the Last 4 and thus 7th overall in the tournament. The team from Slavonski Brod on the other side is second in Last 4 and 8th overall.

The visitors had the better start of the game and won the first quarter. Djuro took off very well and with 8-0 run went up 10-3. The hosts answered with 6 straight points but soon the guests went up by 8 and later even by 9 before Slobodan Bozovic scored for Kozuv for 19-26 after ten minutes.

The second quarter started with a triple for the visitors that extended their lead to 10 points. Then Kozuv made a great 13-0 run which gave the hosts the advantage and despite losing it for a few moments, they were up by 3 points at the halftime break.

From that point on Kozuv had the lead until the end as after a 6-0 run in the third quarter it went up to 12 points. The hosts were in control of the game until the final buzzer sounded and they won their last match of the competition for this season.

Top performer for the winners was Slobodan Bozovic with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Igor Mijalovic had 13 points while Vladimir Filipovic added 11.

For the visitors Marino Sarlija was the top scorer with 18 points. Marko Batina added 14 as Teo Petani scored 10 points.
