First win for Peja in overtime drama

KB Peja won its first home game of group B in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League in an overtime drama. As the team is used from last season, another home game went in to extra period as they defeated KK Teodo 83-79 playing five minutes more. The hosts led for most of the time but came close to losing and letting their lead sleep away. In the overtime however they started better and won. With this result Peja has now 1-1 record while this was Teodo′s first defeat which puts the team with 2-1 record. Peja had a slightly better start to the game and led 14-6 after five minutes. The visitors then reacted very well and scored 11 straight points to take the lead but then both teams exchanged points. At the end of the first quarter the hosts were up by 3 but 8-0 start of the second put Teodo once again in front. It was not a surprise that Peja quickly managed to get back the lead and managed to have it at the break - it was only 2 points.
 
The hosts started great the second half and after a 12-0 run in four minutes moved up by 14 points. Peja had its good advantage for a long time as with six minutes to play the difference was 10. Teodo however never gave up and the visitors made a 9-0 run to close the gap to 1 point. Peja finally scored but Zejak scored a triple to tie the score. In the last minute both teams missed and the game went to overtime.
 
In the extra period the home side scored the first five points and kept its lead after that. The visitors tried hard to tie the score once again but this time Peja held on and won the match.
 
Teodo had advantage in the second chance points 11-6 and 18-6 in points off turnovers. The visitors however didn′t use that to full extent and Peja won.
 
Nenad Delic was the top performer for the winners with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Ronald Davis added 19 points and 13 rebounds as Drilon Hajrizi had 13 points and 8 assists.
 
For the visitors Manuel Johnson finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds while 14 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds had Milos Djurisic.
