KK Kozuv made a big step towards qualifying to the Second Stage of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. In group A game the team recorded its second win after defeating the champions Sigal Prishtina 68-62 at home. That victory puts Kozuv at 2-3 record and can qualify even if they lose to Beroe next week by not more than 8 points. Still Beroe need to defeat them by at least 9 and then hope to defeat Sigal Prishtina away in the last round of the group. The champions on the other side now have 2-2 record and can qualify even if they lose their two remaining games. The next one for them is on January 13th away at Mornar. With the result tonight the team from Bar already is certain of winning the group.   It was a very good start for the hosts as they took an early 8-2 lead. Sigal however came back to life soon and managed to tie the score at 10 points and shortly after that went in front. The visitors had some good final minutes of the first quarter and led by 4 at the end of it.   The second quarter was a low scoring affair with the visitors leading but not by much. Finally Kozuv tied the score at 30 apiece with 1.30 to play in the first half and then the team scored the next four points to finish go at the break leading and finishing the second quarter on a 9-0 run.   Shortly after the second half started the home side went up by 8 points and missed a few chances to go up by double digits. Sigal answered with 5-0 run but after a timeout Kozuv hit back immeadiatelly and scored the next 7 points to lead by 10. A bit later the margin reached 12 points but Sigal weren′t done and after a 10-0 run cut the deficit to only 2. The third quarter ended with Kozuv leading by 3 points and a lot of questions for the fourth one.   A Goran Glavchev′s three pointer with three minutes gone put the hosts up by 8. Moments later the lead reached 9 points and then both teams went scoreless for more than a minute. Sigal broke that run and in 100 seconds cut the deficit to only 3. In the next offense however once again Glavchev came on the scene to score an important triple and it was the decisive moment. This three-pointer killed Sigal′s hopes and the visitors couldn′t respond after that.   Both teams had 24 three-point attempts but Kozuv hit 9 of them compared to just 5 for Sigal which proved to be an important difference.   Goran Glavchev was the top scorer for the winners with his 19 points. Brandon Penn finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds as Vladimir Brckov had 12 and 9.   For the visitors 15 points and 5 rebounds had Dardan Berisha while Mohamed Abukar scored 14 points.
