SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League and Mtel became partners officially. The management of the competition and the telecommunication company reached an agreement for common collaboration which starts from the current 2016/2017 season. Both parties are hopeful that it will be useful and will continue for years to come.

 

Mtel is a leading company at the telecommunications market in Bulgaria with 20-year history. The telecom has 39% marker share and offers services to more that 4.2 million customers. The company has an important role as an engine for the economy and the society with investments over 3.5 billion leva in the last 20 years. The telecom offers to its customers mobile and fixed services, high-speed internet and digital TV. After acquiring Blizoo in 2015, Mtel became the biggest company in Bulgaria per number of customers and the second biggest providing TV services. That, together with the leading position on the mobile market, affirms the company as a leader in the telecommunication sector in Bulgaria.

 

Mtel is also having a consistent policy regarding its corporative social responsibility. The company is one of the biggest charity contributors in the country by supporting numerous social causes and project in culture ans sports.

 

The first Mtel appearance as SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League′s partner was on Wednesday during the game between BC Beroe and the champion KB Sigal Prishtina. The logo of the company appeared in the gym and the viewers of BNT and Sportmedia.tv could see that the partnership is now a fact.

 

"I′m happy that we are starting this important collaboration with the leading telecommunications company in Bulgaria and I hope it will be good for both of us. I′ll be delighted if we continue to work together for a long period of time and to support the beautiful game of basketball", the Sports Director of BIBL - Mr. Shay Shtriks had to say after both parties reached the agreement.
