Strong third quarter leads Teodo to another impressive win
KK Teodo recorded its second straight win in group D of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Tivat again played a very impressive home game and defeated KK Karpos Sokoli 2000 98-81. That win puts Teodo with 2-2 record in the group and with a very good chance of advancing to the quarterfinals while Karpos is at 1-3 and needs win in its last two games. In two weeks time both teams will meet again in Skopje.
It was a very even first half as Teodo led by 3 at the break. The hosts though started very well the second and decided the outcome in the third period. A 12-0 run in the middle of it put the team up by 10 and shortly after them scored 10 in a row for an overall 22-2 run and 18-point advantage. After 30 minutes the lead was 16 and then Teodo held on for an impressive victory.
The hosts dominated under the basket by grabbing 16 offensive rebounds compared to just 5 by Karpos. That led to 19-1 second chance points advantage for Teodo which actually decided the game.
Petar Kusovac was the top scorer for the winners with 22 points. Milos Popovic added 19 points and 7 rebounds while Radomir Marojevic had 14 points.
Filip Sepa finished with 22 points for the visitors while Dragan Labovic scored 14.
