Back to the FINAL Four system for the 10th anniversary edition

The official regulations and registration documents for SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League season 2017/2018 – the 10th anniversary one - were sent to the national federations and their club-members earlier this month.  

The structure of the league for season 2017 -18 will be 10 clubs not 12.

The format will remain the same as the previous season: 2 groups of 5 teams in each. Then - Top 8 (2 groups of 4 teams) and the main change is that the League has decided to go back to the Final Four tournament which will be held in April 2018.

The BIBL has taken into consideration the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. In November 2017 there will be only 1 round and in February 2018 no rounds will be played so that the calendar will not disturb the preparations and games of the respective national teams.

In the following 2 weeks the league will have the full information from the federations and the clubs to register and participate in season 2017-18.
