Akademik Plovdiv adds Serbian big

Delasport Balkan League runner-up - Akademik Plovdiv, has signed a new center. The team added Serbian big Nemanja Besovic in order to replace Ruot Monyyong.

Besovic brings a lot of height under the basket being 219 cm tall and also some experience. The 29-year old has spent the past seasons in Asia playing in UAE, Iran and Qatar. Before that he used to be a part of Strumica in North Macedonia and Pepinster in Belgium.

As a junior Besovic played for Vojvodina and then for giants Partizan. In that period he was a regular part of Serbia junior National teams and is a European champion for U18 in 2009 and was a silver medalist at the World U19 Championship in 2011.
