It was a good domestic wekend for the Romanian representatives in the Eurohold Balkan League. The game (and its result) of Dinamo Bucharest in the Romanian Division A was especially important, as they managed a convincing away victory over an opponent with the same win total. Hosts Targoviste were at 5-11 and Dinamo at 5-10, but the visiting won the game 65-78 and showed they were much better and didn`t deserve there 3rd from bottom table position.

Dinamo took control of the game early and their strong first half performance was decisive for their victory. They led by 8 points after the very first quarter and then by a whopping 17 at half-time (24-41). After the break they didn`t need to do much and just held on to their advantage for the comfortable 13-point margin of victory.

American guard Chris Reaves was the main man for the Bucharest team in Targoviste. He netted 10 out of 12 FG attmepts and, despite being not so successful from three-point range, finished with a total of 24 points, adding also 6 boards, 2 assists and 3 steals. In the scoring department he got the most help from a trio of Romanian nationals - Mihail Paul with 13 pts, as well as veterans Claudiu Fometescu and Razvan Popa with 10 each. Another American - Demetrius Williams - was the main rebounding force in the victory as he grabbed 9.

The other Romanian BIBL team - CSU Cuadripol Brasov - had a much easier task earlier on Saturday. At home in the DP Colibasi Sports Arena they totally devastated struggling bottom-of-the-table team Rapid Bucharest by a 60 point margin - 107-47. That keeps CSU Cuadripol 4-th in the Division A standings, at 12-5.
