No troubles for Levski against Steaua

       Levski defeated Romanian Steaua Turabo on his way to the first place in Group B of the EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Blues record a success with 31 points - 92:61 in the last round of regular season and asset 8 wins and 2 defeats. In the quarterfinals
Levski will face another Bulgarian team - last season champions Rilski Sportist as the team from Samokov took fourth place in group A.
      Under the enthusiastic atmosphere of his supporters in "Universiada" hall the team led by coach Konstantin Papazov had no problems against his Romanian opponent and the first period ended to 21:13, while in the second quarter the hosts were already ahead by 19 points - 45:26 points. Center Boyko Mladenov stayed only 4 minutes on the court because of injury. Young talent Pavel Ivanov also have minor pain and didn`t play in today`s game. After the break Levski increased their lead to 30 points and Titi Papazov rotate all his squad and also gave a chance to the young players such as
Vassil Alexandrov and Nikola Gaydadzhiev.
      American forward Aaron Harper played one of his best games this season finishing with 23 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds, while Donald Cole added 19 points. Captain Stefan Georgiev scored 17 points and pulled 6 rebounds. Alan Anthony Wiggins with 15 points was the best scorer for Steaua.
