BC Galil Gilboa will defend its title in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The current double champions in the competition defeated the hosts of the Final 4 KB Sigal Prishtina 86-74 in the second semifinal and set-up another battle with Levski. Both teams fought very hard from first to last second but in the last quarter the more experienced Israeli squad got the better and came through with the win by playing better in the decisive moments. Galil and Levski met in the previous two finals - the first was one by Galil in one overtime while the second by two so this surely means we are in for a great battle once again. Sigal will play against Balkan for the third place.

In the first minute of the third quarter Galil tied the score and then both teams continued to fight hard. They were exchanging two and three-pointers and none of them could pull ahead by much. At one point with the score tied Blerim Mazreku scored two baskets after which Galil answered with one point. In the last second of the quarter Berisha scored a great lay up and gave Sigal a 5-point advantage before the decisive ten minutes.

The last quarter started with 8 straight points for Galil but Alban Veseli stopped that run with a good shot. However the Israelis continued to have the advantage as Sigal missed a few opportunities to tie the score. With 2.49 to go Boynton scored on a fast break to give Galil a 5-point lead as then both teams exchanged one basket each. With 1.29 to play Boynton went to the free throw line and made two shots to increase the advantage to 7 points. Then Jones made a turnover and after Tony Younger′s dunk, the game was over.

Kenny Boynton was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points as Gerald Robinson had 18.

For the home team Dardan Berisha and Blerim Mazreku finished with 16 points apiece.
