Levski is the champion of EUROHOLD Balkan League

BC Levski is the champion of EUROHOLD Balkan League for season 2013/2014. In the final The Blues defeated BC Galil Gilboa 75-69 and took away the title from them. This was also a revenge for Levski after losing dramatically the last two finals to the same team.   Both teams started the game evenly matched and were exchanging baskets in the first quarter. It finished with the score tied and then the second started on a 6-0 run for Levski which put them ahead. Galil managed to once again tie the score as then both teams exchanged points. However the Israelis didn′t score in the last 3.40 minutes of the first half while Levski finished with 8-0 run - 5 points by Pavel Ivanov and a triple by Hristo Zahariev, and the Blues were up 8 at the break.
 
Levski controlled the game in the first minutes of the third quarter but after the middle of it Galil made a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 2 points. Then both teams exchanged triples and the margin remained the same - 2 points in favour of Levski after 30 minutes.   Galil tied the game with more than three minutes played in the last quarter and some seconds later they took the lead with a Tony Younger triple to make it 61-60. Heath answered with one of his own but Sims tied once again with 4.34 to play. Then Levski made seven free throws in a row - four by Wilkinson and three by Varbanov, but Galil scored 4 easy points to cut the deficit. Then The Blues missed but Chalmers grabbed an offensive rebound and a few seconds later he scored to give his team a 5-point lead with 34.2 to play. Younger managed to make two free throws with 26 seconds to go but then Jumaine Jones did the same, then blocked a shot and Heath scored one free throw that sealed the win for Levski.   Top scorer for the winners was Lionel Chalmers with 17 points as he also added 11 boards. Jumaine Jones had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists while Brandon Heath added 11 points.    For Galil 17 points and 8 rebounds had Rick Jackson while Gerald Robinson scored 11 points.
