Akademik and Levski to meet in a friendly cup final

Two of Bulgarian representatives in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League - Akademik Bultex 99 and Levski 2014 will meet in a friendly cup final in Plovdiv today.

The hosts Akademik had no trouble in defeating Spartak Pleven 88-67 to reach the game for the trophy. The first half was close but a huge third quarter by the Plovdiv team gave them the win. Martin Durchev had 22 points for the victory as Maodo Nguraine added 18 and 8 rebounds.

Elsewhere Levski also did good winning against Strumica 75-56. The Blues won the first half by 12 points difference and were controlling the match afterwards. Aleks Simeonov was the top scorer for the win with 21 points as Aleksandar Milov added 17.
