Tirana holds on for a first win

SK Tirana recorded its first win of the season. The Albanian champions hosted KB Bashkimi and held off for a hard-fought 75-69 victory. It was the  first for them in the third round of the competition while the Prizren squad lost for a second time in a row. 

Tirana led from the start but the visitors stayed close. The hosts went up by 7 and although Bashkimi managed to make an 8-0 run and take a 1-point lead, the home side took 3 at the end of the quarter. The game continued to be really close in the second as well but in the last two minutes Tirana made a 7-0 run to go up by 8 at the break.

The third period started well for the home side who took a double-digit advantage. However in the final 150 seconds the visitors went on an 11-2 and came back in the game. They stayed in it until the very end but Tirana managed to hold on and never really gave any chance to Bashkimi to try and win it.

Endrit Hysenagolli was once again the top performer for Tirana with his 27 points and 9 rebounds. Jalil Abdul-Bassit added 18 and 6 while Gerti Shima finished with 13 points.

Adrian Motley was the best scorer for Bashkimi with 22 points as Ljubo Samadan added 13.
