Domestic leagues: Wins for Akademik and Levski

BC Akademik Bultex 99 stopped its run of three straight defeats and defeated Spartak Pleven 94-75 at home. The Plovdiv team led from start to finish and really had no trouble in any moment of the match.

Isiah Umipig scored seven triples on his way to 27 points as Shakir Smith had 16 and 5 assists.

BC Levski 2014 recorded an impressive win after downing Balkan 70-67 away. The Greens were undefeated before this game but The Blues played really inspired and stole the victory.

Levski started well to go up by 10 but the hosts answered in the second quarter and went up at the break. Levski quickly restored its advantage and then both teams started exchanging baskets. With 13 seconds to play the visitors went up by 4, Balkan answered with a triple but Stanimir Marinov sealed the outcome from the free-throw line.

Marinov was the top scorer for the win with 25 points.

Rilski Sportist rested in this round but the team from Samokov is third with 5 wins and 2 losses. Akademik and Levski are tied for fourth position with 4-3 record.
