Domestic cups: Rilski, Akademik and Levski all win
BC Rilski Sportist took a good advantage after the first leg against Yambol in the quarterfinals of Bulgarian Cup. The Samokov team won 83-77 away and is really close to reaching the semifinals before the second leg at home. The game was really close from start to finish as both teams exchanged leads. Rilski managed to make a 7-0 run to go up by 8 and then kept the difference until the end.
Sheldon Jeter had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the win as Martin Marinov scored 16 points.
Akademik Bultex 99 also took a 6-point advantage after beating Beroe 84-78 at home. This game was also very very close as both teams fought really hard. Akademik managed to take the lead with 4 minutes to go and even took some advantage before the end.
Isiah Umipig had 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners as Dimitar Dimitrov added 17 and 7.
Levski Lukoil had a really strong second half to beat Cherno more 83-63 at home and practically secured the semifinal spot. The visitors shot relly well before the break and took a 5-point edge in it. However after that Levski started to play really great defense and built a huge lead before the return leg.
Hristo Nikolov had 17 points for the hosts as Pavlin Ivanov scored 14.
