Rilski crushed Levski after great shooting display

Rilski Sportist recorded an impressive away win in Sofia. The Samokov team totally destroyed BC Levski Lukoil and managed to win 109-77 after a great shooting display. With that victory Rilski secured at 99% a direct qualification for the Final Four as the team is tied for the first place with Blokotehna having 8-1 record. Levski on the other side is fourth with 3-5 record and continues to fight for a better position before the playoffs.

Rilski had a better start to take an 11-3 advantage and the team was up after that. The team was leading but near the end of the first quarter the hosts managed to close the gap. In the second though the visitors stepped it up and had a slight advantage but then finished the period on a 12-3 run to go up by 16 at the break. Shortly after the start of the second half the hosts cut the deficit to 12 but then the Samokov team responded with four straight three-pointers to go up by 24. Shortly after they made their fifth triple in a row and dominated until the end with the gap reaching 40 points in one moment.

Zlatin Georgiev was the top performer for the winners with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Sheldon Jeter had 19 and 6 while Evan Ravanel added 16 points. Rilski shot very well as a team finishing with 12 of 20 triples for 60% and 25 of 36 for points for 69%.

Kris Minkov was the top scorer for the hosts with 13 points as Keith Clanton added 12.
