Blokotehna added Smith, Akademik signed Gruev

Two of the teams in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League added new players in recent days. The leader and the first team which secured its place in the Final Four - KK Blokotehna, signed Shakir Smith from fellow BIBL participant Akademik Bultex 99.

The American spent a season and a half in Plovdiv and was one of the team′s main performers. He played in eight BIBL games so far and had 14.5 points and 3.0 assists.

In the same time Akademik replaced him with a former BIBL champion - Aleksandar Gruev. The point guard started the season in Bashkimi but left the team in November and was out of contract since then.
