BC Levski Lukoil recorded another win in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Blues hosted KB Bashkimi and took 98-86 victory after leading from the middle of the first quarter. Both teams fought hard to get the win with the visitors staying close for most of the time but without really threathening. That win puts Levski third with 6-5 record before next week′s final game against Akademik Bultex 99. With that defeat Bashkimi finished the regular season with 5-7 record and will wait for the outcome of the match in Sofia next week to understand its opponent in the playoffs.

Bashkimi started good and was leading early before a 12-0 run for Levski gave the hosts a 9-point lead. They managed to keep it in that range until the first period ended and in the second it reached double figures. The visitors however didn′t give up and answered with some good offense that allowed them to close the gap to just 4 points. Levski didn′t allow it to go down further as at the break the hosts led by 6.

The second half started on an 8-0 run for the Blues who went up by 14. After that the hosts controlled the game but Bashkimi was still trying hard and cut the deficit to just 7 points in the final period. Levski though never allowed them to do any more damage and held on for the victory.

The hosts scored 12 three-pointers from 25 attempts compared to just 7 of 18 for the visitors which proved to be decisive.

The top scorer for the winners was Darryl Bryant with 16 points as Nemanja Milosevic had 13. Omari Gudul made his debut for the team finishing with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
