Domestic leagues: Kozuv comes up short, 6th win for Blokotehna

KK Kozuv had a good game but eventually fell just short and lost to MZT Skopje 79-89 at home. The Gevgelija team did well in the first half and was just a point behind. After the third quarter the difference reached 6 points but the hosts were still close to the opponent. Just before the middle of the fourth quarter though MZT started its decisive and held on for the win.

Rob Lewis was the top scorer for the hosts with 20 points while Aleksandar Shterjov and Miladin Pekovic had 11 apiece. The biggest difference between the teams was the 3-point shooting as the visitors had 8 more.

A week after suffering its first defeat, KK Blokotehna came back on the winning way. The team visited Ohrid and took 82-71 victory in Round 7 of the league. The visitors did the damage in the first quarter after which their lead was 14 points. From that moment on they controlled the game and finished well.

Danilo Mijatovic was the top scorer for the winners with 31 points. Marjan Mladenovikj finished with 19, 8 assists and 7 rebounds while Povilas Gaidus had a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Blokotehna is currently leading the league with 6 wins and 1 defeat but also with a game more than Rabotnicki. In the mean time Kozuv is 7th with 3-3 record.
