SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League Final 4 to take place in Tirana

For the first time, The Final Four of the Balkan League, season 2018-19, will take place in Tirana, Albania, on Saturday and Sunday - 06-07.04.2019.

In the framework of the 20th Anniversary of SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria, SIGAL eventually goes launched through SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League F4 Final Four, which will take place in Tirana - Albania in the new Olympic Park of Tirana "Feti Borova" Sports Hall.

It will be 11 years after the first Balkan League Final Four that took place in Samokov - Bulgaria, in the first season 2008-2009 when BC Rilski Sportist made history and won the first ever international title for the club.

Now, after 11 years, SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League Final Four takes place in the land of eagles, supported by the biggest insurance company in Albania, SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria, which has been supporting sports, especially basketball, through years. 

Also for the first time in Albania, there is an Albanian Team, KS Teuta-Durres, succeeding in this round.

KS Teuta - Durres – Albania,  BC Akademik Bultex 99 – Plovdiv – Bulgaria, BC Beroe – Stara Zagora – Bulgaria and KK Blokotehna – Gevgelija – Republic of North Macedonia are the four teams that qualified to the F4. 

All of them and all the basketball fans will enjoy the great hospitality of the city of Tirana in the best basketball event which will be supported by Albanian Basketball Federation, SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria and personally by Mr. Avni Ponari, the president of Albanian Basketball Federation and CEO of SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria.

RTSH – the Albanian National TV -  and  BIBL′s main media partner for the past 11 seasons Sport Media will produce and broadcast all the 4 games so that the basketball audience in Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and abroad will be able to celebrate together with all of us the first F4 in Albania. 

Final Four season 2018-2019 is the top basketball event of the league which will be the finish of a very challenging season. It is also the celebration of our 11th anniversary season as international competition uniting clubs, fans, players, referees, sponsors, sportsmen from all over the Balkan Peninsula. 

We believe in our decision and we are sure that with the full cooperation between Albanian Basketball Federation, Sigal UNIQA Group Austria and BIBL management the event of Sigal UNIQA BIBL F4 2019 will be a successful one and all 4 clubs, referees, guests and most importantly the basketball fans will be part of a high-level basketball international experience which shall finally turn into a big and happy basketball celebration.
