The management of the Balkan League started preparation for the new season in the last few weeks and it was already announced that Albanian team KS Vllaznia is very close to returning to the competition. The league has decided that the upcoming season will have its start on October 15 when the Opening game will be played.

There are also changes to the System of competition as after two straight years of a Final Four, we will be returning to a home and away games big Final. The idea is to have 8 teams which will play against each other twice in a Round Robin system for a total of 14 games. The top four teams in the standings will qualify for the semifinal round and the two winners will play in the Final. The dates for those two games are already set to be on April 7th and April 14th 2020. This means that the season will be six months long.

If there are more than 8 applicants the league is ready to propose a different system with 10 or 12 teams which will be divided in two groups.
