KK Ibar won the Opening game of the 12th Balkan League season. The Rozaje team visited KB Vllaznia in a return for both sides and won 65-64 after a dramatic last minute. The hosts had a last offense to take the victory but Johnathan Hudson missed a shot at the buzzer and the visitors celebrated.

Ibar practically led from the start and at the end was the team that deserved to win. The first basket however was for the home side but it was the only time they were ahead in the score as the visitors responded with an 11-0 run to go up and never looked back. The hosts cut the gap until the end of the first quarter but in the second the Montenegrins kept leading and kept their opponents at a distance. Vllaznia was trying hard to come back and even take the lead but the visitors were stopping every attempt. They entered the last minute up by 4 but as Perine was fouled shooting from the three and made all free throws, the difference was cut to just 1 with 42 seconds to play. Then Ibar missed a shot under the basket which gave the hosts the chance to complete the comeback and win the game. Hudson however decided to shoot the ball and missed at the buzzer which gave the visitors their first ever away victory in the competition.

Nemanja Simovic led Ibar in scoring with 14 points adding also 3 assists. Marko Ljujic and Elvis Cekic added 13 points apiece with the latter grabbing also 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Bryquis Perine was the top scorer in the game with 21 points while Dod Lekndreaj did very well finishing with 16 and 7 rebounds.
