BC Akademik Plovdiv to represent Bulgaria for 4th time in a row in season 2020-2021

BC Academic Bultex 99 is the new-old firstly-registered Bulgarian team in BIBL season 2020-2021 and will represent the country for a 4th year in a row. 

BC Academic Bultex 99 was keeping the 1st place during season 2019-2020 and managed to register 7 wins and only 1 loss before the remaining of the season had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. They had very strong roster and ambitions to fight for the Championship.

The club has rebuilt the men′s basketball tradition in the city of Plovdiv, with the very experienced management behind the club, hard work, professional organization, hospitality and great sports facilities to host the opponents. Of course they are happy to have the support of the Municipality and the Mayor himself Mr. Zdravko Dimitrov who is a former basketball player. 

BC Academic Bultex 99 has started the selection for the new season. The team will be lead this year by the new Head Coach - Yordan Yankov who has been on the assistant coach position for the past few seasons and gained enough experience to debut as a head coach. 

Their target is to continue the amazing presentation from last season and eventually nothing to stop them on the way to the Final Four in April 2021.

The BIBL management, the referees and the other participants are excited to be able to visit again the city of Plovdiv and to play vs. BC Academic Bultex 99.
