Delasport Balkan League has taken a decision about Levski's games in Israel

Delasport Balkan League has made a decision regarding the two postponed games of BC Levski 2014. The Blues from Sofia were supposed to visit Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion and Maccabi Next Urban Haifa last week, but due to COVID-19 cases couldn't travel to Israel.

After checking all the possibilities, the only option was to play those matches on February 8th and February 10th in case that the team could travel and everything, most importantly flights, referees nominations and game date could be confirmed. Yesterday, Levski informed BIBL that the team has games scheduled in Bulgaria on February 7th and February 12th and unfortunately couldn't find any free dates for the BIBL matches.

After consulting with FIBA for this unique case, with the idea to keep the interest of all the clubs participants and in the spirit of the basketball game, and also having in mind that until 15.02.2022 Stage 1 must be finished and there are not any available dates for rescheduling this same games, the decision of Delasport Balkan League is as follows:

• Adjudged a win to the local team Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion and Maccabi Next Urban Haifa with 2 points for the classification.

• Adjudged a loss to the visiting team BC Levski 2014 Sofia with 1 point for the classification.

All of that means that Levski will finish Stage 1 of BIBL season 2021-22 in 4th position in Group A and will continue to Stage 2 in group C with Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion - BC Akademik Plovdiv and one of Ironi Rain Nahariya and KB Sigal Prishtina.

Below you can find the final standings in Group A of the competition. KK Navico Akademija FMP is the team that finished in 5th place and thus has ended its participation for the season.
