Good second half defense helped Brasov to win for first time CSU Quadripol Brasov with first win

After two losses in first two games in Eurohold Balkan League CSU Cuadripol Brasov finally won one. At home the team of coach Dan Calancea defeat Serbian Radnicki 034 Group 85-75 and put their name on winning column in new competition in region. It was a big third quarter by the home team that put them in front for good. At the half time break CSU Cuadripol were losing 44-48 but as soon as the third quarter started, situation changed on the court in DP Colibasi hall in Brasov. Home team players allowed only 27 second half points (16 in third and 11 in fourth) and had no problems to handled Radnicki 034 Group another loss.

 

23 years old Alex Hartman scored 28 points while big guy Ionut Dragusin had his first double double in Eurohold BIBL with 17 points anmd 15 rebounds. American point guard Rashaun Broadus added 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. He never missed any of his attempted shots from the free throw line (10 of 10 – 100 %).

 

Danilo Draskovic was the best scorer for the visitng team – 18 points, Rajko Kljalevic added 15 and Ivan Milosevic ended with 13 points. Those 3 players were the only ones to reach double figures from Radnicki 034 Group. Kljalevic added 9 boards and 6 assists before fouling out.

 

After this round Radnicki 034 Group together with Levski are the only two teams without win in this year Eurohold BIBL. They are not playing in next fourt round and we will have to wait to probable get shot for their first victory versus Swisslion Takovo on December 10th.

 

CSU Cuadripol Brasov will travel after two weeks to Varna to face bulgarian Euroins Cherno More.
