Busy week in the Eurohold Balkan league

Swisslion Takovo try to stay unbeaten

This week will be busy in Eurohold Balkan League. During the next three days starting from today we will have four games, two in each group A and B in the preliminary round of 2008/09 competition.

Later today in Kavadarci the champions of FYR of Macedonia Feni Industries will try to get back on winning track when they host Bulgarian side Euroins Cherno More. Both teams are coming of tough wins in their domestic leagues against low placed opponents. Feni Industries lost the last game in Eurohold Balkan League when they hosted Swisslion Takovo. That was their first loss in the competition so far. On the other side Euroins Cherno More needed extra work to get two points against CSU Cuadripol Brasov as they won after overtime. Both teams have record of 2 wins and 1 loss and will try to change it later today in beautiful Jasmin hall in Kavadarci. Game start at 19.00 o’clock local time.

Tomorrow, Wednesday we will have three games. First in Group B Rilski sportist will face Fersped Rabotnicki in Arena Samokov while in Group A Swisslion Takovo will face Radnicki 034 Group in first Serbian derby in BIBL. Both Serbians teams have totally different record as Lions have no loss and stand first in the group with 3-0 while Radnicki 034 Group are the only team still looking for their first win.

Win for Rilski sportist over Fersped Rabotnicki will give them qualification berth for next round while victory for Macedonians will put Marin Dokuzovski`s team in driver seat for position one after end of regular season.

Wednesday but in Sofia Bulgarian side Levski will get chance to continue with their winning streak they started last week in Belgrade when they beat Mega Hypo Leasing. Their opponent will be Dinamo Bucharest, team with 1-2 record in Group B of Eurohold Balkan league until now.

First four teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals and after those four games in the next three days we might have the first teams to secure their places in the next round.
