Fersped Rabotnicki and Feni Industries among the best four in Macedonian Cup
As expected, both Macedonian teams that qualified for Semifinal of Eurohold Balkan League later this month qualified for the same stage in their respective domestic Cup. Fersped Rabotnicki and Feni Industries easy found place in the semifinals and most likely will face each other in the final tomorrow night in Ohrid.
Fersped Rabotnicki played in the Quarterfinals with Torus, played very good throughout the whole game, there was no underestimation and the result at the end was 78-55. From the start the players of coach Marin Dokuzovski started very aggressively in defense, reached double digit lead and kept it until the very end. That game him a chance to put all of his lineup in the game and use different rotations during the game.
Center Toni Simic scored 17 points, Danilo Mitrovic added 15 while Toni Grncarov ended with 13.
In the team of Torus Aleksandar Shteriev was the best scorer with 14 points.
Fersped Rabotnicki outrebounded their opponents by 33-20 and kept them 0 of 8 behind the arc. Later today Ferpsed Rabotnicki will play versus Swisslion Pelister in first of the semifinal games. In the second one other semifinalist of Eurohold Balkan League Feni Industries will face AMAK SP.
Macedonian champions Feni Industries had a slow start against Vardar but picked up their game later in the second half and won comfortably 89-73. Team from Kavadarci didn’t start as the head coach Emil Rajkovic wanted to and at the half time break they were up by only 2 points 45-43. Decisive quarter for the outcome of this game was third one when Feni Industries won 24-13 and practically led by 13 points at the beginning of last one. Later there was no problem for them to keep Vardar on distance and find place anong the best four teams in Macedonian cup.
Donald Cole once again had the most points for Feni Industries – 28 while second American in the team Taliek Brown added 22. Zlatko Gocevski continue with his great form and managed 16 points.
Maybe the reason for easier win for Feni Industries in the second half was the fact Kiril Nikolovski – one of the best players of Vardar left the court injured. Bojan Krstevski scored 20 points for the losing side.
Feni Industries and AMAK SP will play tonight at 20.00 o’clock local time in Ohrid.
