Feni Industries and Fersped Rabotnicki failed in the Semifinals of domestic Cup

Rabotnicki eliminated from the local cup

Both teams from Macedonia that qualified for the Final Four of Eurohold Balkan League later this month in Samokov couldn’t get into the final of their domestic cup. They failed in the semifinal stage despite were favorites to meet in the last game of that competition.

Swisslion Pelister surprised Fersped Rabotnicki eliminated them with the score 82-67. During the whole game they had control and were much better team. After even first quarter Rabotnciki was up by one point – 18-17 but in the second one thanks to their good defense and few 3-pointer shots by Gjorgi Talevski and Petar Apcev Pelister had 38-29 half time lead.

Fersped Rabotnicki showed their skills in the third quarter and after 8-0 run tied the score at 46 apiece in 26th minute of the game. However that was everything they managed to do in this semifinal game. During the last minutes of the third quarter and whole fourth one Pelister was on top of their game and at the end surprised the team from Skopje.

Aleksandar Held scored 19 points for the winners, Gjorgi Jovanovic added 15. For Ferpsed Rabotnicki Dime Tasovski had 21 points.

Ferpsed Rabotnicki was one of the five teams from Skopje that were eliminated from this tournament. Beside them MZT, Vardar, Torus and Vardar are also out of the competition.

In the second semifinal game one more team participant of the Final Four of Eurohold Balkan League in Samokov – Macedonian champions Feni Industries failed short versus AMAK SP and lost 78-84. Team from Ohrid where the final stage of Macedonian cup is taking place were better than team from Kavadarci in the second half and won in very dramatic finish of the match.

Feni Industries led at the break 37-32 but thanks to the help of local fans in Ohrid and attractive show by the home team players everything turned the other way in favor of AMAK SP. At the very end they were focused from the free throw line to bring another surprising result of the semifinals – 84-78 AMAK SP win.

Eftim Bogoev scored 20 points for AMAK SP while for Feni Industries Taliek Brown with 25 and Donald Cole with 14 points were among the best as usual.

Now Feni Industries and Fereped Rabotnicki will concentrate even more of the Final Four of Eurohold Balkan League as none of them will win domestic cup.
