The winner of the Macedonian Cup is AMAK SP

At the same weekend when the Cup of Bulgaria was decided, the Macedonian Cup competition was concluded too. But in the final of that one there were no Eurohold Balkan League teams, as both Feni Industries and Fersped Rabotnicki were eliminated at the semifinal stage, as we already reported. Just to remind of it: on Friday Feni Industries were ousted by AMAK SP, while Fersped Rabotnicki were beaten by Swisslion Pelister and were out of the competition too.
 
So at the weekend in Ohrid competition hosts AMAK SP and Swisslion Pelister Bitola contested the Cup and it was the home team that took it with a 77-60 win in the final. Eftim Bogoev was the heroe of the night for AMAK SP again, as he shined in the decisive 4th quarter and finished with 20 points on 5/10 shooting (3/4 three-pointers). The final result is not a good reflection of how close the game was in the first 3 quarters. It was tightly contested and looked like anyone`s game. Swisslion Pelister started better, playing very much in the same manner like when they defeated Fersped Rabotnicki in the semi. Then AMAK SP were lifted by their home crowd to turn it around and take the lead in the 2nd quarter, before the team from Bitola tied it at 35-35 at half-time. In the 3rd period it was the hosts who led again, but never by too much. Then Bogoev took things in his own hands in the 4th quarter and decided the game in favour of his team.
 
Now AMAK SP and Swisslion Pelister will be enjoing their Cup final fame and hoping they can have similar success in the Macedonian league too, while losing semifinalist Feni Industries and Fersped Rabotnicki will try to forget their domestic cup woes and prepare for the more prestigious BIBL Final Four. Feni and Fersped face each other in one of the semis in that one, on Tuesday next week.
