Official list of the referees, commissioners and instructor for the Final Four in Samokov

Shay Shtriks – the Sports Director of Eurohold Balkan League – announced the official list of the referees, commissioners and one instructor that will officiate at the Final Four in Samokov next week.
 
The Board of the League will continue to do the nominations as they did throughout the whole season - international referees, young international referees and non-international referees which are candidates to become international referees. The selected referees for the Final Four of Eurohold Balkan League in Samokov have the best marks during the season (in each game of BIBL there is evaluation for each referee). The two selected non-international referees are candidates for international clinic and they had the best marks from all the non-international referees that had games during the season. The 2 commissioners are FIBA Europe instructors while Tomislav Jovancic is the the Serbian Referees instructor and FIBA Europe instructor as well.
 
"During the season I was very satisfied from the level of the officiating. Yes, we had a few problems but in the total of 48 games the officiating level was more than OK. Also, the non-international referees showed big progress throughout the year. Unfortunately only 8 referees can officiate in the Final 4 of the Eurohold Balkan League", said Sports Director of the league Shay Shtriks."I would like to send big thanks to all the referees and to congratulate them for their good and professional job during the whole 2008/09 season.”
 
Shtriks also said that for the opening of the Eurohold Balkan League 2009 which will take place in September 2009, they will make a referees clinic for all referees, which will improve their level and professional work for next season.
