Feni Industries survived in domestic league versus Pelister Bitola
One of the participants in the Eurohold Balkan League Final Four in Samokov next week – Macedonian team Feni Industries – survived in its first domestic league game since falling short at the semifinals in the Cup there. Playing away in Bitola against Swisslion Pelister the men from Kavadarci defeated them at the very end 82-86.
The end of the game was dramatic despite the players of coach Emil Rajkovic had at one time 18 points advantage. In the final minutes of the match team from Bitola cut it to only a point 82-83 but couldn’t do more than that.
Donald Cole as usual was the best offensive player for Feni Industries with his 25 points, Goran Samardziev added 21 and Dimitar Mirakovski ended with 19.
For the Swisslion Pelister Zoran Petkovski and Gjorge Jovanovic managed 20 points apiece while Milan Miljkovic scored 15.
With this victory Feni Industries is back at the top of the table in the Macedonian league with same amount of points as Fersped Rabotnicki – 36 – but better point difference in the games between both teams during the season.
Fersped Rabotnicki and Feni Industries will now have the opportunity to avenge their Cup semifinal exits, playing Swisslion Pelister and AMAK SP today and tomorrow respectively. After that Fersped and Feni will both fully concentrate ot their clash next Tuesday in Samokov, when face each other in the second semifinal game of Eurohold Balkan League opening season.
