Borislav Chilingirov: We had the heart for it

Rilski Sportist executive director Borislav Chilingirov:
 
"This is a dream come true. Maybe I am not the only one that was dreaming, there were others too. But you are as big as your own dreams are. I want to say once again that all this is not a fluke. We work very professionally and the results are for everyone to see.

The atmosphere was unique. The management, the coach, the team and the supporters - they were all one big entity. In the tough moments during those two days the entire crowd in the stands believed that the guys were capable of achieving this great success.
 
But we haven`t stopped dreaming now. I want this to be just the beginning. I am happy we did it, but I would have been equally happy to see any other Bulgarian team, not only in basketball, but in any other sports game, win cups.
 
I`ve said this before - we can now only be proud that we are an example for everyone else. But it doesn`t all come down to money, you have to have a heart for it too. If you don`t put your heart into what you are doing, it doesn`t work. I would love it if there at least 20 clubs like ours in Bulgaria. I`ve always known that we Bulgarians had great potential as a nation. We now have foreign players too, but they`ve shown the same typically Bulgarian spirit to win this competition. We showed what the road to victory is - lots of work, professionalism and heart.
 
I also think it was a memorable occasion. Everyone that was here will remember it, those in front of their TV sets will remember it for a long time as well. Personally, I will remember it my whole life."
