Here is the information regarding the Second Board Meeting of Eurohold BIBL that recently  took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

The Executive Director of the BIBL shall be:

Mr. Assen Christov

 

The Sports Director of the BIBL shall be:

Mr. Shay Shtriks

 

The Marketing Manager of the BIBL shall be:

Mr. Stefan Avgustinov

 

The Competition Manager of the BIBL shall be:

Ms. Lubomira Genova

 

The Coordinator between the Federations and BIBL for 2009/10 shall be:

Mr. Ivan Tsenov

 

System for Season 2009/10

 

The number of the clubs to participate in the BIBL season 2009/10 will be between 10-12, but maximum 12 as follows:

 

Bulgaria: Rilski Sportist, the other team is still being waited for to be announced by the BFB

 

FYR Macedonia: Fersped Rabotnicki + Feni Industries

 

Montenegro: Mornar Bar + Lovcen Cetinje

 

Romania: Municipal Timisoara + Cuadripol Brasov

 

Serbia: up to 20 June

 

Israel: up to 20 June – 1 team

 

Bosnia & Herzegovina: no team. KK “Sloboda Dita” officially informed the League that the main Sponsor “Dita” will no longer finance the club and they cannot assure their participation for season 2009-2010.

 

The Board voted and with 100% consensus took decision to invite Israel to be member of BIBL. Only after the official approval by the Board of FIBA Europe, shall BIBL accept Israel as a member of its Board.

 

The Board took decision to invite a team from Israel to take 1 (one) of the wild cards and play as a guest team in Season 2009/10.

 

The BIBL season 2009/10 will start in the first weekend of October and will finish the first week of April. The FINAL FOUR will take place 06-07 April 2010.

 

During the FINAL FOUR, a Juniors (U16) tournament will take place as the teams to participate in that tournament will be the juniors’ national teams of the countries whose clubs participate in the Men’s FINAL FOUR. The expenses for the Juniors (U16) FINAL FOUR shall be covered by each Federation.

 

For Season 2009/10 the official trade name of BIBL shall be EUROHOLD Balkan International Basketball League (EUROHOLD BIBL). This official trade name must be used by National Federations, clubs, staff, media, etc.

7. Mr. Dusan Projovic –  Official representative of Serbian Basketball Federation

8. Mr. Petar Popovic – Secretary General of Montenegro Basketball Federation

9. Mr. Sreten Djikanovic – Member of the Board of Montenegro Basketball Federation

10. Mr. Shai Shani – President of Israeli Basketball Federation – guest

11. Mr. Avner Kopel – President of the Israeli WINNER League - guest

The Board Meeting passed according to the following Agenda:

 

1. Opening words and summary of Season 2008-2009

 

2. Amendments of the BIBL Official Regulations and accepting the new Regulations for Season 2009/2010.

 

3. Accepting the new member Federations + election of the new members + re-election of the old members

 

4. Discussing and approving the Marketing Regulations of Season 2009-2010

 

5. General view and presentation of the marketing and financial strategy of BIBL for Season 2009-2010
