Macedonian Rabotnicki is still official participant of Eurohold BIBL

Some media in Macedonia followed by eurobasket.com published article about withdraw of Rabotnicki from the Eurohold Balkan League for next season. They said that Macedonian champions Rabotnicki is currently going through hard financial situation and as result the management of the club has decided to withdraw from next edition of BIBL.

So far there is no official statement from Rabotnicki or Macedonian Basketball Federation regarding withdraw of the team from second edition of the Eurohold Balkan League. At the moment Rabotnicki continue to be one of ten official participants of the league for season 2009/10. Minutes ago Sports Director na BIBL - Shay Shtriks talked to the President na Macedonian Federation - Daniel Dimevski regarding publication in Eurobasket.com. His answer was the following:

“Rabotnicki is still official participant in BIBL. We are expecting in the next couple weeks Rabotnicki to find the solutions for their financial problems. We hope they will do it and will take part of Eurohold Balkan League next season. If they don’t, Macedonian Basketball Federation will discuss with the management of the league other possibilities.”

Sports Director Shay Shtriks wanted to remind to all media in different participant countries as he added: "The official body to put statements in media about withdrwal or acceptance of new members in the BIBL, or any other news connected to the clubs participating in the competition, is the EUROHOLD BIBL or the local Federation. Any other articles, news, interviews, coming from domestic media etc. shall be considered untrue, non-official and non-confirmed by the Management of the League."
