Papic will play for Steaua, Levski signed another American

Steaua Turabo strenghtened up their squad with a well-known to the Eurohold Balkan League. The Romanian team signed a contract with Serbian forward Dragoslav Papic. 205 cm tall Papic spent last season in Bulgaria playing for Rilski Sportist. The 22-year old was one of Rilski`s best players last season, averaging 16.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 52 games. In the Eurohold Balkan League his stats were 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals for 29 minutes per game in 12 games.

In the meantime, Levski Sofia also added another new player to their roster. After signing forward Donald Cole from Feni Industries Kavadarci and point guard Jason Smith from CAB Madeira, the "blues" announced that they have agreed terms with Aaron Harper.
 
Harper is 28 years old and is 201 cm tall, he plays shooting guard and small forward. Harper played college basketball in Mississippi in NCAA Division 1. After that he moved to Europe where he spent 2005/06 and 2006/07 in France with the team of Chorale Roanne. In 2007/08 he was in Ukraine, with Azovmash Mariupol, and the last year he spent once again in France, and once again with Chorale Roanne. His stats last season were 15.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals in 28 games in the French championship. His team also participated in the Eurocup, as in six games there his numbers were 10.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
 
Levski are opening the Eurohold Balkan League on October 10th in Sofia against Feni Industries Kavadarci, while Steaua Turabo are playing their first game on October 14th against Mornar.
