At the same start of the new second edition of EUROHOLD BIBL, the Sport Director Shay Shtriks congratulated all the participants and wished all of them luck, victories and successes!
"Dear Friends,
We are standing at the beginning of the second season of EUROHOLD Balkan League – 2009-2010. After the big success and popularity during the past year, our League has extended to 5 (five) countries and 12 participants. As Sport Director, I would like to welcome our new member federation – Montenegro Basketball Federation and the new 7 (seven) teams which will compete this season:
1. Spartak Pleven – Bulgaria
2. Lovcen Cetinije – Montenegro
3. Mornar Bar – Montenegro
4. Gaz Metan Medias – Romania
5. Steaua Turabo – Romania
6. OKK Beograd – Serbia
7. Metalac Valjevo – Serbia
I am extremely happy to inform the fans of the basketball game on the Balkans that they will have the opportunity to follow 72 games in the period from October to April and to support their favourite clubs.
Keeping the tradition from the first edition and as we promised to FIBA Europe, all the games will be officiated by both international and non-international referees. Thus, we will give chance to the young and potential referees to show themselves to the international stage, to develop their skills and to fulfill their dream to become part of the big FIBA referees family.
This season the management of the EUROHOLD BIBL again will put a lot of attention to keep the games clean and free of any misbehavior and unsportsmanlike moments between players, team members and people connected to the club. In the nowadays sport the fair-play is one of the most important things and EUROHOLD BIBL will work in this area in order to support the efforts of FIBA Europe, FIBA, The Olympic Committee and all the national and international organisations involved in sports.
Moreover, we believe our League gives opportunity to young talented players to grow up in their career, to develop by playing in international competition and by facing strong teams with traditions in basketball.
Dear Friends,
I do hope Season 2009-2010 will bring to everybody – clubs, players, coaches, sponsors and fans - lots of good moments, pleasant emotions, joy, satisfaction and most of all interesting and tough games, good basketball!
I wish everyone a successful year not only in EUROHOLD BIBL but also in their national leagues and let the best team win!

Tomorrow is the Opening Game of the League which will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria at "Universiada" Hall at 18:00h between the teams of Levski (BUL) and Feni Industries (MKD).
