Mornar Bar got off to a flying start in their debut appearance in the Eurohold Balkan League, after stunning CSA Steaua Turabo in Bucharest with a score of 75:83. That was the first game ever for both teams in the BIBL.
 
The game started pretty even, as neither team managed to break away with the lead, so after the first period of play, the score was tied at 21:21.
 
In the second quarter, Steaua allowed Mornar to take the game in their hands, as the Montenegrin side had really strong 10 minutes, winning the second with a score of 14:22, and eventually leading at halftime 35:43.
 
After the halftime break Steaua showed that they still don`t want to give up, and after 30 minutes of play they were losing only by one single point - 59:60.
 
The crucial last period was taken by Mornar with a score of 16:23, which gave the team it`s first ever win in their first ever game in the Balkan League - 75:83.
 
Milos Djurisic had an amazing game for the Montenegrin side. The 21-year old shooting guard had a great performance, nailing 28 points, along with 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Filip Samojlovic was the second best scorer with 13 points. The American additions to the team performed alright. Chad Barnes scored 11 points and added 7 rebounds plus 3 assists, while Anthony Brown had a decent performance with 7 points and 1 board.
 
For Steaua Virgil Stanescu and Ronald Timus both scored 19 points, but the Romanian center shot 8/13 from the field and added 9 rebounds for an rating of 23, while the American was really poor from the charity stripe, converting only 4 out of 12 free-throws for an efficiency total of 3. Milos Mladenovic added 13 points, while one of the other Serbians, well-known in the BIBL - Dragoslav Papic scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
