Three of the participants in the Eurohold Balkan League played important games in the first round of their domestic championships. In Macedonia, The champions Rabotnicki played against their main contender - Feni Industries, while in Bulgaria Levski hosted the champions from Lukoil Academic.

Rabotnicki outplayed Feni Industries in front of 1000 spectators at Gradski Park, Skopje, as the final score was 87:75. Gjorgji Cekovski, who could be voted for MVP of the first round of the Balkan League had another great performance. Stanko scored 26 points along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. He was fouled 10 times. Aleksandar Dimitrovski added 18 points, while Dimitar Mirakovski had 17. Darko Sokolov had 12 points and 10 rebounds. For Feni Industries, James Life had 20 points in just 28 minutes, while team captain Goran Samardziev added 19.

In the other local derby, the one in Bulgaria, Levski crashed against Lukoil, as they lost 83:95. The 12-point difference should not be a judgement for both teams` performance, as Lukoil totally smashed their opponents, as at one moment of the game, the difference was around 25 points in their favor.

Aaron Harper was the best for Levski with 23 points, while Stanislav Slaveykov scored 18 points. For Lukoil Todor Stoykov notched in an amazing 30 points. Ernest Brown and Branko Mirkovic had 13 points each, while Isaac Wells added 11.
