Yesterday was played the last game from the first round of the National Basketball League in Bulgaria. Rilski Sportist overcame Spartak Pleven with a score of 66:62 at home in Arena Samokov.Aleksandar Gruev had 17 points for Rileco, while Srdjan Zivkovic added 11 and 10 rebounds. Bogdan Boev also added 11. For Spartak Pleven Hrisimir Dimitrov had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, but also commited 7 turnovers. Rob Preston added 16 points and 8 rebounds.
In Montenegro, both participants in the Eurohold Balkan League suffered losses. KK Lovcen lost away from home against Gorstak with a score of 77:66, while Mornar Bar was defeated by Ulcinj 87:73. Filip Samojlovic had 18 points for Mornar, while Nemanja Radovic added 17.
In Serbia OKK Beograd won 85:72 against Radnicki in the second round of the local league. Nikola Korac scored 21 points, while Branko Andjic finished with 16.
Metalac suffered a heavy 87:66 loss against Proleter Naftagas Zrenjanin. Stefan Bircevic scored the most points for the team from Valjevo - 12 along with 10 rebounds, while Predrag Markovic had 11. Well-known in Bulgaria Sasha Topchov played for Proleter.
In Romania Steaua Turabo and Gaz Metan Medias suffered a win and a loss in the 5th round of the regular season. Steaua lost at home against Dinamo Bucharest with a score of 79:88. Ronald Timus was the best for the home side with 24 points.
Gaz Metan Medias remains unbeaten with a record of 5-0, after winning 83:86 against U-Mobitelco Cluj Napoca away from home.
