Easy win for Levski in Pleven

In a game from the third round of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, Levski Sofia achieved an easy 79:91 win over Spartak Pleven. That was second win for Levski in this year`s edition of BIBL, and now they have a 2-1 balance, while Spartak was defeated at home for the second time and now they have a 1-2 balance after three rounds.   The first quarter was really high-scoring, as Levski definitely got off to a better start, and after some good shooting, they were up 28:36 after 10 minutes of play. In the second period, things were totally diferent than the first, as the two teams didn`t score that much - 8:15, a total of just 23 points, which gave Levski a comfortable 16-point lead at halftime - 35:51.   In the third quarter Levski were dominating again, despite that at some points Spartak tried to get back in the game, and again had a commanding 17-point lead- 55:72 after 30 minutes of play. In the fourth quarter, Spartak finally managed to drop the difference under 10 points, after a dunk by Rob Preston 1.30 before the end, but actually that was their last basket in this game, and the final score was 79:91.   For Levski, Donald Cole showed great shape, as the former Feni player notched in 26 points, along with 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Bobby Frasor had 16 points and 4 rebounds, and the other American - Aaron Harper scored just 14 points and also added 4 rebounds. Stefan Georgiev-Toro was 1 rebound away from a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 9 boards.   Rob Preston and Iliya Stankov scored the most points for Spartak Pleven, as each of them had 16. Preston added 4 rebounds and 3 steals, and Stankov had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Joseph Kennerly scored 13, and Veselin Georgiev finished with 12. Nikola Traykov finally saw some playing time and in 26 minutes had 7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots.   In the next round Spartak Pleven are visiting Kavadarci, to play against Feni Industries on December the 2nd, while Levski are traveling to Romania, to face CSA Steaua Turabo.
