Rilski Sportist with first win this season

        Rilski Sportist achieved first win in EUROHOLD Balkan League this season after Aleksandar Todorov’s boys defeated the other Bulgarian participant in Group A
Euroins Cherno More with 88-77 in Samokov. Cherno More is with a win and two
losses in the race, while “Riletso” have a 1-1 balance since their game of the second round was postponed.

      Team from Samokov began today’s game very promising, with quick attacks and a good performance. The guest from Varna started stronger, as they led after the first period thanks to the wonderful performances of Alexander Yanev. He scored 12 points in the initial quarter, but it was not enough, because after two
successeful lay-ups  Alexandar Gruev and Bogdan Boev Rilski Sportist took a small advance. Sasho Yanev tallied again at the end of the quarter to give a lead for his
team - 22:21. During the second quarter Rislki Sportist’s captain Alexandar Gruev led his teammates, scoring 14 points in only 16 minutes, helping his team to breath calm before the break. The hosts led almost throughout the second part, as their largest lead was six points, but failed to keep it and the half-time came at
45:42 - a result that portend a dynamic second half of the game. In the first 3 minutes of the third quarter doubled Rilski Sportist lead 58-47. Cherno More undergone a real collapse in the attack, and failed to find the opposing basket for nearly five minutes. The hosts scored 27 points in the third period, while Varna managed to score only 15. The team from Samokov attained his victory in this part, which completely dominated, where they were precise in attack and very
concentrated on defense. Before the beginning of the last quarter result was already
72:57.  Good for Cherno More played only Krum Doychinov, who was the only steady person in the Daniel Dimitrov’s team throughout the game, and the captain Simeon Tsenov. Eric Webb had episodic activities. Cherno More managed to reduce the difference difference, but their weak shooting  percentage not allowed them to return to the game. Alexandar Gruev player 30 minutes despite the pain, finished with 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. EUROHOLD Balkan League last season MVP – Travis Peterson played his best game this season. American center ended with 27 points and 9 boards. With double-double – 14 points and 10 rebounds finished the other American in Rilski Sportist David Burgess. Krum Doychinov also made a double-double 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Alexandar Yanev added 17 points in the losing effort.

             Rilski Sportist will play their postponed game against KK Metalac on 24 november, while next scheduled round in the Balkan League was on 2 December. Euroins Cherno More is hosting Rabotnicki, while Rilski Sportist will face Montenegrin Lovcen Cetinje.
