KK Feni Industries achieve second consecutive win
KK Feni Industries attained their second win in the EUROHOLD Balkan League this season, after defeating at home KK Mornar Bar with a score of 85:69. That was Feni`s second consecutive win in this year`s edition of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, win which moved them to the second place in Group B, following the unbeaten OKK Beograd, while KK Mornar are on the fifth place with 1-2 record.
The game started better for the Montenegrin side and through the first period, Mornar were up 5-10. The host gradually managed to equal the result and in the end of the quarter they took a three point lead 27:24. The second period was very interesting with a lot of lead changing, both teams were concentrated in offense, but KK Mornar made a lot of fouls, which prevent the team in the second half. Two successful jump-shots in the last 1.30 minutes from James Life and Dusan Knezevic gave to Feni Industries small lead before the break 47-43.
Macedonian runner-up started the third quarter with very aggressive and strong defense, which distract a little Mornar and helped the hosts to improve their lead. In the last three minutes Montenegrin team has not been able to score, and before the final period KK Feni had a comfortable 10 point lead 64-54. In the
last 10 minutes, some good performances from Bojan Trajkovski helped Feni Industries to made their win more expressive. Ljujic from Mornar scored a
three-pointer 10 seconds before the last referee call and finalize the end
85-69. Most efficient for the winners was Dusan Knezevic, who made a second consecutive double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The captain Goran Samardziev also finished with double-double, but with 11 points and 10 assists. Bojan Trajkovski stayed on 1 rebound of double-double, he added 14 points and 9 boards for the success. Three more players from Feni Industries scored 10 or more points – Popovic (10), Life (12) and Jovovic (11). For the Montegrin side, American forward Anthony Brown played his best game in the Balkan League, finishing with 15
points and 7 rebounds, other foreigner in the team Chad Barnes added 14 in the losing case.
In the next round KK Feni Industries is hosting Bulgarian Spartak Pleven, while KK Mornar is going to play their fisrt game at home against the leader OKK Beograd.
